2016 Wheeltek Grand Prix Key Racing Rules

Title and General

The WHEELTEK GRAND PRIX 3 is organized by WHEELTEK and INSIDERACING.

It is a non-championship special race to be held on May 15 2016 at the Carmona Racing Circuit and is designed to promote motorcycle road racing on permanent racetrack for better safety and to increase rider skills. It is sanctioned by the USRA (Unified Sports and Racing Association for Motorcycles, Inc.) a private association composed of local riders and teams.

General Sporting Regulations

Racing classes:

1. One Make Races (Novice/ Beginner/ Intermediate/ Expert): bikes will be provided by HONDA (Beat & Dash), SUZUKI (Raider 150 & Raider J), YAMAHA (Sniper MX-i 150 & Mio MX-i 125) and KAWASAKI (Trackday: Rouser & Fury)

2. Open Invitational Races (Novice/ Beginner/ Intermediate/ Expert):

ONE MAKE RACES: OPEN TO ALL

OPEN INVITATIONAL RACES: Open to beginners, novice, intermediate and expert riders *Based on USRA Unified Rider Classification at the start of 2016

TRACK DAY SESSION: Open to all riders

A rider can only enter a maximum of three (3) race classes

The organizer has the right to refuse any entry (rider or bike)

All riders must wear protective gears comprising of a CERTIFIED HELMET (no open face or modular), leather suit with body armor, high-cut riding boots and leather gloves.

All motorcycles entered must be in good racing condition and must be presentable, aesthetically pleasing and wearing official team colors.

No rider will be permitted to enter the race track in any session without proper registration/ documentation, payment of required fees and signing of event waiver.

A rider shall be deemed to have taken part in the event when he participates in, at least, one practice session of the race event.

A rider shall be deemed to have started a race when he participates in, at least, the first lap of the race.

Registration Fees, Competition License* and Insurance

ONE MAKE RACES: FREE ENTRY + P400 Insurance + P100 USRA

OPEN INVITATIONAL RACES: P1000 entry + P400 Insurance + P100

TRACKDAY: FREE entry
